USS KAITENJIRO

The Thor class Federation cruiser is a class 5 military vessel designed for offence and defence of Federation interest. It is also a large troop carrier with the carrying capacity of two fully armed Federation Legion. Designed for maximum survivability in large and prolonged combat environments, it's thick armor runs from the saucer section to the warp nacelle. Plus an armored belt along the side of the saucer section.

Federation Thor class cruisers are armed with 2 large main phaser arrays on the dorsal and ventral sections. And 8 standard arrays on the side belt of the saucer section. 4 forward torpedo launchers and 2 in the aft

The design aesthetic of the Thor class ship is rather conservative, lacking the fancy curve and organic feel of the standard Star Fleet starships. Designed primarily for military use, the Thor class Cruisers doesn't have the regular exploration, diplomatic and scientific components you see in other Starfleet Ships. It doesn't even have any windows apart from the bridge. It's brutish and veering a little towards the ugly
